Oct. 15, SATURDAY, 9:30am Women's Weekend begins at the Church of the Open Door and travels to the Lotus House Shelter. Lotus House is a unique resource center and residential shelter for homeless women and infants in Overtown Miami. Join us as we treat the Ladies at Lotus House to a “You Are So Beautiful” Spa Session and... have Story-Time with the Children at Lotus House.

SATURDAY’S CHURCH PREPARATION SCHEDULE:
9:30 - 10:30 am - Devotional Service
10:30 - 11:30 am - Continental Breakfast
11:30 am - 12:30 pm - Prepare the Bags for Lotus House
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm - Take bags to Lotus House and activities begin.
Lotus House Thrift Store donations are welcome.

Oct. 16, SUNDAY, 10:30am We present a special guest speaker at Church of the Open Door. Guest Speaker: Rev. Dr. Cheryl J. Sanders is Senior Pastor of the Third Street Church of God in Washington, D.C. since 1997, and Professor of Christian Ethics at the Howard University School of Divinity since 1984. She has published more than 100 articles and the following books:

From 2000 to 2007 Rev. Sanders was a contributing guest editor for Leadership, a journal for pastors. She is a graduate of the Sidwell Friends School, Swarthmore College (B.A. in Mathematics) and Harvard Divinity School (M.Div., cum laude and Th.D. in Applied Theology). She has been awarded two honorary Doctor of Divinity degrees; the first by Asbury College, 2002, and the second by Anderson University, 2007. She is married to Dr. Alan Carswell, and is the mother of two children, Allison and Garrett.

The 43rd Annual Pink Tea presented by Church of the Open Door
